Ruben Amorim must not make same mistake Erik ten Hag did at Man United in face of inevitable critics
It was perhaps inevitable but still surprising to see criticism of Ruben Amorim's new 3-4-3 formation just one game into his reign.
Even if this is, after all, Manchester United we're talking about.
Excuse the flippancy but it didn't take long at all for the vultures to circle and criticism of Amorim's formation, that brought great success at Sporting CP, to surface.

Amorim has been adamant he will stick to the style that delivered trophies in Lisbon and saw him sign off with an emphatic 4-1 win over Manchester City in the Champions League, even if he doesn't necessarily have the natural personnel to implement it at United just yet.
It will take time to adapt but there were signs in United's 1-1 draw with Ipswich that United's players are already picking up their new instructions.
Amad thrived in an unfamiliar wing-back role and Noussair Mazraoui looked firmly at home in a back three, rather than his usual right-back slot.
Yet former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy saw enough in 90 minutes at Portman Road to declare United will not be playing in Amorim's preferred formation in a year's time.
"I would be amazed if they were still playing 3-4-3 in a year's time," Murphy told Match of the Day Two.
"This league is very different to continental leagues and we have only had Chelsea win the league playing that way in recent years.
"Let's be honest they had [Ngolo] Kante and [Nemanja] Matic, who were two excellent holding midfielders in the middle of the pitch, with [Diego] Costa up top and [Eden] Hazard helping him too.
