Roy Keane makes Manchester United celebration remark and aims subtle dig at Arsenal

Roy Keane says Manchester United's celebrations after beating Aston Villa were not over the top - despite Arsenal receiving criticism for their reaction to their recent win over Liverpool.

United are now unbeaten in their last four games, with three of those matches ending in wins. The 2-1 victory at Villa Park saw Erik ten Hag's side climb to sixth place in the table, five points behind Villa, who are in fifth.

Their victory has potentially reignited the race for the top four, with United's players not hiding their emotions after the full-time whistle sounded. And former United captain Keane believes the celebrations were fully justified.

He said: "Yeah, [they're good scenes]. Not over the top, is it? They are enjoying it; there is an edge to games.

"That is probably helping the team. the supporters today. It was a big game, there was a winning goal coming. A huge win for United.

"You felt there’d always be a winning goal coming and Hojlund is having a really good goalscoring season now and so is McTominay - that was a huge, huge goal for Manchester United."

Arsenal's post-match celebrations following their 3-1 win over Jurgen Klopp's side sparked a week of debate with Gary Neville labelling the Gunners as 'immature' and suggesting that was the reason they won't win the Premier League this season.

"I think those celebrations weren't of a team that can win a title, they're of a team that thought they'd be out of the title race," he remarked.
