Roy Keane makes derby prediction and gives verdict on Erik ten Hag's Manchester United future

Roy Keane has warned there is 'huge pressure' on Erik ten Hag amid uncertainty around his future as Manchester United manager.

United head to the Etihad Stadium to face Man City in the Manchester derby this afternoon. Both clubs are separated by 15 points in the league standings, with United sixth and Pep Guardiola's side in second place.

Ten Hag's future as United manager has been the subject of speculation at various points throughout this season. The rumours resurfaced last week after the 2-1 defeat to Fulham at Old Trafford ended a run of four consecutive victories in the top flight.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineous Group are now officially co-owners of United, following their 25 percent takeover that was approved last month. United's only realistic chance of silverware this season remains the FA Cup, and now Keane has provided his opinion on Ten Hag's future.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, he said: "It's a huge few months coming up for the manager for different reasons.

"City are trying to win titles, Ten Hag is trying to get that confidence from the new owners. We'll see over the next few months the results.

"I'll give the team a little bit of credit, they have been inconsistent and have given up lots of chances, but they have dug in and got results. Even going to Nottingham Forest in the week and winning the cup game, so that will hopefully give them the belief and confidence.

"No doubt about it, United will have to be at their very best today. Anything less than that and they will be well beaten.
