Roy Keane lists the six reasons why Manchester United's season has been a 'disaster'

Roy Keane has outlined why Manchester United's season has been "disastrous".

Ahead of United's final home game of the season, the club are fighting to qualify for the Europa League having sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and seen little improvement under interim head coach Ralf Rangnick. On Monday, the club face Brentford to sign off at Old Trafford for 2021/22.

Keane has been a regular critic of United throughout the season and has been left unimpressed by a number of issues at the club, from off-field decisions and the performances of players. He does, though, anticipate improvement under incoming new manager Erik ten Hag.

"It’s been a disastrous season on a number of fronts," he told Sky Sports. "Off the field, a change of manager, bringing in a manager - giving him a caretaker role which was never going to work.

"They’re too easy to play against, they've not won enough games, a lot of players leaving the club, a lot of players wanting to leave the club. It’s been a long old season for them and they’ll be glad to see the back of it."
