Roy Keane hits Ange with Tottenham punchline as pundit wheels out dreaded nickname after Aston Villa winner

Roy Keane has served Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham with the club's 'Spursy' tag after they fell to a third straight defeat.

The former Celtic boss' side went ahead against Aston Villa in north London through Giovani Lo Celso. Pau Torres levelled things up in the seventh minute of first half stoppage time and Ollie Watkins found the winner for Unai Emery's side midway through the second half.

After previous defeats to Chelsea and Wolves, it leaves Postecoglou's team in a mini-slump ahead of a huge challenge away against Pep Guardiola and Man City this weekend. Keane was left miffed by how Tottenham defended Watkins' goal, and hit them with the nickname they've gathered from throwing things away. He said: "Really poor defending from Spurs. You've got to get tight and be aggressive, they've just switched off at the wrong time. Lovely goal from Villa, but defensively from Spurs... really Spursy."

Postecoglou said post-match to Sky: "Tough outcome but I couldn't be happier with the way the boys played - I'm really proud of them. I thought we played some fantastic football and on another day we'd have probably won the game comfortably.

"I can't fault the effort, the intent and everything they put into the game. There's no frustration. We played well and as a manager that's all you can ask for. Sometimes the outcomes don't go the way you want but as a manager you're looking for how the players are committed to what we're trying to do. They were totally committed to it."
