Rotherham United 1-2 Swansea City: Alan Sheehan oversees hard-fought win over 10-man Millers
Alan Sheehan began his interim reign as Swansea City boss with a hard-fought win over Championship strugglers Rotherham United at the New York Stadium.
Charlie Patino's third goal of the season on the stroke of half-time initially looked to be enough to seal the win for the visitors, who played against 10 men for 75 minutes or so after Daniel Ayala picked up two bookings in quick succession early in the first half.
However, the hosts responded when Sam Nombe poked home, before Jerry Yates came off the bench to restore the visitors' advantage, and halt Swansea's five-game winless run.
This game, a clash of two managerless sides was perhaps in many ways a bit of an after-thought following an eventful week that began with Michael Duff being dismissed from his post. However, while a scruffy performance, it at least ended with a little bit of positivity.

Sheehan has already batted away questions over whether he'd fancy a crack at the job full-time. Indeed, it seems unlikely his name is being discussed as a genuine possibility at this stage. It's understood Chris Davies remains the club's preferred candidate, with Tottenham boss Ange Postecooglou seemingly doing little to slam the door shut on any possibility of Davies taking the reins in SA1.
"It's in his hands," was the teasing message from the Australian. At the moment, Swansea are in Sheehan's hands, and he did his best in trying to make his mark, opting for four changes from the energy-sapping draw with Huddersfield Town last weekend, handing a first start for the popular Yannick Bolasie.
But despite the tinkering,
