Rosenborg vs Manchester United live early team news and how to watch pre-season friendly

Manchester United will be targeting a winning start to their pre-season preparations when they face Rosenborg at the Lerkendal Stadion this teatime, kick-off 5pm BST.

United's players reported back to Carrington for the start of pre-season training last Monday and will now put what they have been working on into practice. Manager Erik ten Hag has traveled to Norway with a 25-man squad and is expected to hand out minutes to as many players as possible.

This teatime's tussle in Norway marks the first of five friendlies United will navigate their way through between now and the Community Shield clash with Manchester City at Wembley on August 10. They face Rangers at Murrayfield Stadium on Saturday ahead of flying out to the United States for their official pre-season tour and three more friendlies.

This teatime's squad will feature a blend of both youth and experience, meaning Ten Hag could follow a similar plan to the one he did when United face Leeds United in their pre-season opener last summer. He made wholesale changes at the break on that occasion, handing out minutes to 22 players.
