Ronaldo, Salah, Aguero: The PL player with the best mins-per-goal record in every year since 2000
Recently, we decided to go a bit rogue and worked out the player with the best minutes-per-goal record in every single year of the 21st century.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi both featured on multiple occasions, but much to our delight, they weren’t totally dominant like they usually are and a few surprise names cropped up – including Freiburg’s Nils Petersen.
So with that in mind, we decided to follow the same concept to work out the Premier League player with the best minutes-per-goal record in each year since 2000 and once again, there are a few shocks.
All the numbers below have been sourced from Transfermarkt. Only players who scored 10 or more goals for a team in the English top-flight were considered for selection.

Ighalo and Iheanacho? You better believe it!
Aguero has the prestigious honour of being the only man to feature on three separate occasions, which is further proof of just how absurdly good he was in his prime.
Van Nistelrooy, Henry and Van Persie all make the cut twice, while Kane and Aguero are tied in the battle for the best minutes-per-goal record over the course
