Ronaldo and Varane start - Manchester United fans name line-up they want to see vs Newcastle

Manchester United fans are calling for defender Raphael Varane to return to the starting line-up against Newcastle United, with Cristiano Ronaldo also backed to start.

Erik ten Hag's side face off against the Magpies at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon, with the Reds having defeated Everton in their previous Premier League match last Sunday.

United, who defeated Omonia in the Europa League on Thursday night, have responded well after losing 6-3 to Manchester City in the derby earlier this month. The Reds currently find themselves fifth in the Premier League table and in a good position in Europe after three successive wins.

The Reds are likely to be boosted by the return of Varane at the heart of defence, while there is also a chance that Anthony Martial could be fit enough to feature after being sidelined with an injury. Varane came on for one minute in the victory over the Toffees, and was an unused substitute against Omonia.
