Roman Reigns rejected apology Randy Orton wrote for WWE star after interview comments

Roman Reigns rejected an apology from Riddle for comments he made in an interview, the WWE Raw star has revealed.

Riddle has never been one to bite his tongue, and the former NXT star apparently landed himself in hot water over comments he made about Roman Reigns in an interview.

Reigns has been calling himself the “needle mover” in interviews and on NXT, and during an interview in August, Riddle seemed to call out the Universal Champion for that:

“No disrespect to Roman, he seems like a swell fella, but at the same time, it’s like when people say they’re a good parent, you know what? If you were a good parent, your kids would be telling you you’re a good parent. When he’s saying ‘Acknowledge me’ or ‘I move the needle,’ no, you don’t. You’re related to The Rock. Shut up. Like, I’m not impressed, I can beat you up in a real fight. So, shut your mouth.”

While appearing on Mark Andrews’ ‘My Love Letter to Wrestling’ podcast, Riddle spoke about the fallout and reaction to his comments.

Riddle explained that he approached Randy Orton, his tag team partner, about apologising to Reigns, with Orton willing to help draft a message.

Riddle noted how he approached Randy to try and mend his relationship with Roman Reigns, explaining:

The other day, I said some things about a gentleman that I work with. He’s on a different brand, he’s a champion, he’s a chief, one might say. I said some things he didn’t like. I told Randy, ‘I said some things, I’m pretty sure he’s not happy about it. What should I say? I should make this better.’
