Robert Lewandowski agent contacts two clubs and other Manchester United transfer rumours

Manchester United have reportedly not been offered the opportunity to sign Robert Lewandowski at the end of the season.

The 33-year-old will be out of contract at the end of the next campaign and this has led to speculation that Bayern Munich would look to cash in on the striker this summer. According to Mundo Deportivo, Lewandowski's agent Pini Zahavi contacted Barcelona and PSG about the Poland international's availability.

United will be searching for a striker in pre-season to replace Edinson Cavani. The Uruguayan's advancing years and injury proneness mean that the Reds are planning for life without the forward.

Lewandowski would reportedly cost interested parties £16.9million for his annual salary, plus the transfer fee Bayern would demand for his signature. His form has not diminished either this season with 45 goals scored in 37 appearances.

Elsewhere, United's interest in Pau Torres has reportedly been 'reignited'. The Villareal centre back has been in fine form this campaign and the Reds may be tempted to strengthen their back line this summer.

According to 90min, United are looking to add a defender to play alongside Raphael Varane. However, they warn that no decision will be made until the Reds appoint a new manager.
