Manchester United transfer news LIVE plus Erik ten Hag latest and Man Utd vs Norwich updates

Manchester United resume their Premier League campaign this afternoon (3pm) needing favours to boost their dwindling top-four ambitions. United are set to take on rock-bottom Norwich at Old Trafford.

Interim manager Ralf Rangnick and his team will be keeping a close eye on results elsewhere, too, as Tottenham meet Brighton in the early kick-off (12.30pm) and Arsenal make the trip to Southampton (3pm). United remain six points behind Tottenham heading into this latest matchday.

Arsenal sit three points adrift in fifth place and West Ham also have to be factored in. They play Burnley, but not until Sunday afternoon (2.15pm).

Aside from the battle for Champions League qualification, United continue the search for a new manager as Ajax coach Erik ten Hag takes a step closer to the Old Trafford dugout. Meanwhile, focus has also shifted to the transfer window - with Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic and Jesse Lingard among those set to depart.

Alejandro Garnacho is in contention to make his United debut against Norwich after being named in their matchday squad.

The 17-year-old joined United from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2020 and has scored 12 goals for the junior teams this season, including five in United Under-18s' run to the FA Youth Cup final.

Spanish-born Garnacho was included in the Argentina senior squad last month - and recently trained with the United first-team for the first time.
