Rio Ferdinand used Celtic's pasting at the hands of Real Madrid to reveal why Ange Postecoglou's side were unwavering in their approach.

And the Australian coach reckons the former Manchester United and England defender is bang on the money when it comes to the style he implemented and thus perfected buring his two years in Glasgow. Ferdinand told Between the Lines when showing footage from the game: "This is Celtic against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu. I can sense how strong you are of your principles and the way you play. Even when you're playing against a star-studded team, you're going to go for it and play the way you want to play. You get beat here 5-1 but you're still going for it."
