Rio Ferdinand And Owen Hargreaves Made A Manchester United Prediction On December 8, It Hasn't Aged Well

After the clash, Ferdinand and Hargreaves, as well as host Jake Humphrey, talked up United's favourable-looking fixture list for the next ten games.

"You look there and you think there's not many that would put you on the backfoot. He should be thinking we can come out of this and Southampton in a good position," Ferdinand commented.

Hargreaves echoed the sentiment, adding: "That is win, win, win, win, win, win, win, win, win, win - it should be."

Humphrey asked Hargreaves if he felt they should be looking at 30 points and the former England midfielder agreed.

But interim boss Rangnick has not been able to improve United's fortunes following the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

In those ten games, which ended up being nine because of a postponement, United took just 16 points - picking up four wins.

They beat Norwich, Burnley, Brentford and West Ham, lost to Wolves and drew with Newcastle, Aston Villa, Burnley (reverse fixture) and most recently Southampton.

United are currently in fifth place, level on points with West Ham, who travel to Leicester City on Sunday.

Arsenal, Spurs and Wolves are all in within six points of United, who cannot seem to hold on to a lead at the moment.

“Manchester United, they should have the best of everything.

“To not have a plan and bring in a… he’s technically a sporting director. I think he’s coached a team two years out of the last 10 years.

“Don’t get me wrong, I like the man – I think he comes across really well. He looks like he’s lacked experience in coaching the last five or six years, whatever it’s been.

“His team, they’re a team of individuals.”
