Rasmus Hojlund sends message to Manchester United fans as Victor Lindelof issues rallying call

Manchester United players are making a concerted effort to put the defeat to Bayern Munich behind them on Friday as they look ahead to a tricky test against Burnley on Saturday.

The Reds' 4-3 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League highlighted a number of issues, particularly defensively but they cannot afford to dwell. Erik ten Hag meanwhile is looking to stop the rot after three defeats on the spin. Ahead of United's short trip to Turf Moor, MEN Sport has taken a look at the headlines you need to know.

Rasmus Hojlund is determined to take positives from Wednesday evening's 4-3 Champions League defeat at Bayern after scoring his first goal for United.

Ten Hag's side were well beaten at the Allianz Arena, despite a late fight back which made the scoreline more palatable. Hojlund pulled one back for United with a first goal since joining in the summer, his instinctive effort deflecting off Dayot Upamecano and past Sven Ulreich. The 20-year-old celebrated bullishly in front of the Bayern ultras but his side were two goals down almost instantly, Harry Kane arrowing home a penalty after Christian Eriksen was penalised for handball.
