Rasmus Hojlund has told Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag what he wants to hear

With Manchester United preparing to sign a new striker in the summer transfer window, several forwards continue to be linked with a move to Old Trafford. One of those players - Rasmus Hojlund - only increased speculation around his future after his incredible five-goal haul for Denmark during the international break.

On Thursday, MEN Sport reported the Reds were keeping tabs on Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani and Atalanta goalscorer Hojlund, should they be priced out of a move for Harry Kane at the end of the season.

Hojlund has been impressive for Serie A outfit Atalanta since joining the club from Sturm Graz for €17million last August. The 20-year-old, who is under contract until 2027, has registered eight goals in 25 games. He bagged a hat-trick on his full debut for Denmark against Finland last week, before helping himself to two more goals in a surprise 3-2 defeat to Kazakhstan on Sunday.

While Hojlund has been linked with a number of clubs around the globe - including Arsenal - he has previously admitted he is a "huge" United fan. The frontman was keen to make it clear that he would not dismiss interest from other top sides, but his love for the Reds could play a part in any potential transfer.

Speaking back in January, he said: "Now that you ask, I will not hide the fact that I am a huge Manchester United fan. So personally, it would be one of the biggest things for me, but of course, that doesn’t mean that I would turn down other big clubs if the offers come at some point."
