Gutted FAR Rabat have detailed the reasons why they had to let Hamza Igamane join Rangers.
And they have insisted he will be the last of their players to move to Europe this season. Rangers are poised to confirm the signing of the 21-year-old highly-rated prospect this week as manager Philippe Clement continues his rebuild for next season. And his club have told their fans why they allowed their star man to leave.
A club spokesman is quoted in the Moroccan media as stating: "Hamza has signed a contract with Rangers for five seasons, which amounts to £1.75 million plus extra clauses. The reason we have allowed him to make the transfer is we recognise the goal of this talented player was to go to Europe and we have allowed him the opportunity. It also helps the image of our club and Moroccan football. But Hamza will be the only player who will leave the club this summer. We have received offers and interest from other European clubs about several of our players. However, we feel it is important to keep the spine of the team to give us the best possible chance of winning titles this season."
