LIVE: Manchester Airport hit with flight cancellations and massive queues amid major power cut as Terminal 1 and 2 passengers told to stay away - latest updates

There are significant delays, cancellations and major queues at Manchester Airport this morning due to a major power cut.

A spokesperson for Manchester Airport said: "A significant number of flights today are likely to be cancelled and the advice is for passengers expecting to travel today not to come to the airport without having checked with their airline first."

On social media, travellers shared images of major queues and shared their frustration with the airport.

Passengers travelling from Terminal 3 have been told to arrive as normal at the airport, unless their airline has informed them otherwise. However passengers flying from Terminal 1 and 2 are told to contact their airlines before travelling to the airport this morning.

The airport, in a statement, has said it hopes to restore normal service as soon as possible.
