Rangers STILL in Danilo transfer hunt as Cyriel Dessers arrival won't stop Ibrox striker shopping

Danilo is still in Rangers' transfer sights, even with Cyriel Dessers closing in on a move to bolster the Ibrox striker department.

Their fifth signing of the summer is in the books as Abdallah Sima arrives on a season-long loan deal from Brighton, but don't expect the Senegalese winger to be the last in the door. Jose Cifuentes is expected to make his arrival this summer and Dessers may well be signing number six. But the hunt for a forward is far from over. It has been claimed by multiple outlets that Feyenoord striker Danilo is STILL on the Rangers hitlist. Dessers is anticipated in blue but that doesn't mean the pursuit of the Eredivisie hitman will end.

The Light Blues have already had one bid chucked out but remain interested, even after three attacking additions already this summer. Boss Michael Beale knew he needed a rebuild after watching key stars like Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent make their way out of Ibrox, and he has delivered plenty of fresh faces upon his return to pre-season.

Matondo joined last summer from Schalke but has made just six Scottish Premiership starts in 28 appearances in total, failing score and providing five assists.
