Rangers squad revealed as Philippe Clement cancels kids club and throws open arms to returning stars
After the warmth of Spain, it's back to the cold of Glasgow for Rangers' next winter break friendly.
Philippe Clement mixed it up before being sent off during the Light Blues' 1-0 defeat to Hertha Berlin during their warm weather training camp at La Manga complex over the weekend. With a Scottish Cup fourth round tie against Dumbarton this Saturday, there's another 90 minutes of fine tuning to come against FC Copenhagen at Ibrox.
The meeting with Hertha allowed Clement to experiment a bit and while there's the chance to do similar against the Danes, with a home crowd wanting to see a performance and busy schedule coming up, the manager must strike a balance between putting in a display and changing personnel too much. He included a number of kids in his squad but expect tonight's line up to have a more experienced feel. The likes of Fabio Silva, Nico Raskin and Tom Lawrence could do with more minutes.
Copenhagen have impressed during their Champions League campaign this season. They will represent a real step up in level of opposition and will provide a good test of what Gers worked on in Spain. Here’s what we can expect.
