Live Wales Six Nations squad announcement as Gatland names players

Six Nations squad announcement day has arrived as Warren Gatland names the players who will bid to upset the odds in this year's tournament.

The Wales coach has a number of injury issues to contend with, not least the loss of World Cup captain Jac Morgan who is likely to miss the tournament. Gatland will need to name a new skipper, with favourite Dewi Lake also picking up an injury on the weekend.

A number of uncapped players are expected to be picked at the start of a new Rugby World Cup cycle, while there is usually a left-field selection or two that catches everyone by surprise. Get the latest rugby news sent straight to your inbox for free with our daily newsletter.

One man not expected to be named, barring a late change of heart, is Exeter wing Immanuel Feyi-Waboso, who is believed to be reluctant to accept a call-up that would mean he has to return to Wales at the end of his current Exeter Chiefs deal under the 25-cap law. He could now be named in England's squad on Wednesday.
