Rangers reveal 5 man transfer exit list as John Lundstram headlines exodus to kickstart the major Clement revamp

Rangers have revealed five players will leave the club this summer to make way for Philippe Clement's summer rebuild.

Borna Barisic, John Lundstram, Ryan Jack, Jon McLaughlin and Kemar Roofe will all depart. Long-serving Barisic has brought the six-year spell with reports swirling that both he and Lundstram could be set to agree terms over a free switch to Turkish side Trabzonspor. Scotland star Ryan Jack follows them out of the door after an injury-hampered campaign, while it's a similar story for Kemar Roofe - who had already announced his departure from the Light Blues with an emotional send off in his final Ibrox appearance.

A club statement read: "With a combined 23 seasons at the club, all five players have represented Rangers with commitment and dedication over a number of years. They were all part of the squad that guided Rangers to the UEFA Europa League final in Seville, with Borna Barisic, Ryan Jack and Kemar Roofe lifting the league title with the club in 2020/21. All five leave as Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup winners with Rangers in recent years. Everyone at Ibrox and Rangers’ Training Centre thank the departing players for their time at the club and wish them all the very best for their future careers."

However, a decision on Leon Balgoun remains up in the air as the club confirmed talks remain on-going over the prospect of an extension for the veteran centre-back. The Nigeria international will turn 36 next month but finished the season strongly under Clement in the absence of stalwart Connor Goldson.
