Rangers on brink of total collapse and raging Hotline won't take it as fans demand heads roll

The heavens opened above Glasgow this morning and the Hotline flak continued to pour down on Rangers too.

Everyone from the manager, the board and the players were drowned in criticism after the Ibrox club’s Champions League hopes were washed away for another year. Defeat to Dynamo Kyiv may have come after a controversial red card. But excuses weren’t washing with furious punters, Graeme Fitzsimmons, Fife, blasted: “When will the so-called leadership at Rangers start being honest about how close the brink of collapse we are? There’s no money coming in, only going out. An embarrassing manager, not enough leadership on the pitch, no stadium. There isn’t a project in the club at all – it’s emergency first aid. Give the trophy over now and congratulate Celtic on being run properly and showing some passion at least.”

Jamie Thompson, Yoker, said: “Rangers are in a bad place and the quality of players is a real concern. They can't hold the ball, cannot defend, can't play as a team, the passing is shocking but it seams these players don't care. The Ibrox board has a lot to answer for. The stand issues are an utter embarrassment. Rangers supporters deserve better."

Gordon Blackwell, Glasgow, added: “The manager can use the sending off as an excuse but his team selection has to be questioned. McAusland, Diomande and Lawrence are nowhere near good enough. Also, whilst Cantwell is still at Ibrox, he should be playing. The board should also be held accountable, as they should be releasing funds to improve the staff.”
