Rangers kid 'weighing up options' as he's warned of limited game-time

Alex Lowry is understood to be weighing up his options after being told game-time at Rangers will be limited this season.

The 21-year-old from Uddingston was a rising star at Ibrox a few years ago, but injuries have hampered his progress, and he was sent out on loan to Hearts last season.

Lowry played for the ‘B’ team in a clash against Middlesbrough on Monday, and has not been told outright that his time at Rangers is up.

However, boss Philippe Clement is understood to have told Lowry his game-time will be limited, and the insinuation is that heading elsewhere would be in his best interests.

While the playmaker’s performances have often impressed, Lowry has only made 14 appearances for Rangers over the three years he has been with the first-team.

He played 17 times for Hearts last season, and could be on the radar of a few clubs.
