Rangers fire sale skyrockets as 'low' Todd Cantwell transfer fee agreed while 'petty' Ianis Hagi feud escalates

Wantaway Todd Cantwell looks to be inching closer to a Rangers exit as Blackburn Rovers boss John Eustace opened up on their interest in the playmaker.

The 26-year-old handed in a Rangers transfer request earlier this summer and has been dropped to the B team by Philippe Clement - but the Belgian boss has been made to wait for a suitor to emerge for the former Norwich City man. The Englishman looks set to return to the English Championship with Blackburn showing an interest, and Eustace has lifted the lid on talks with the Ibrox misfit.

He told The Lancashire Telegraph: "Todd is someone that has been spoken about. He is a Rangers player and I don't like to talk about players at other clubs too much. Todd is a Rangers player, he's a very good player but we've got five of six other good players on the list. We want to bring in good players to the club."

A loan move had been said to be on the table, though it's being reported that a fee has been agreed. However, it is said to be "quite low" with Blackburn having to "juggle their budget" to convince Cantwell to agree a deal.

While Cantwell seems to be on the way out, it looks like the Light Blues face a tougher job trying to offload Ianis Hagi. The Romanian international took to social media to insist he is ready to fight for Rangers - just hours after his dad Gheorghe lashed out at the "ugly" treatment of Hagi Jr at Ibrox.
