Rangers find out how much Nedim Bajrami REALLY means to Sassuolo as exit trio suffer differing fortunes

A report in Italy insists Sassuolo will fight tooth and nail to keep hold of in-demand Nedim Bajrami.

Rangers have made a loan offer to the Serie B side with an option to buy, however, local outlet sassuolonews.net insist the Albania star is a player they will be loathed to see exit and they are actively trying to retain. The 25-year-old is wanted by Philippe Clement attacker who can play wide and as a No.10 and Bajrami fits the bill. The player is keen to leave Sassuolo after their relegation to Serie B. Bajrami made history in the summer by scoring the fastest goal in the Euros, when he netted against Italy after 23 seconds.

Meanwhile, midfielder Todd Cantwell has agreed his Rangers exit – but is waiting for Blackburn Rovers to pull the trigger. The English Championship outfit have agreed a six-figure fee but Blackburn boss John Eustace is waiting for the deal to be signed off by his club’s owners.

Rovers are also interested in a loan for Rabbi Matondo who had a bid from Norwich City turfed out – the Canaries have since ended their interest in the Wales international.

Scott Wright is close to a move to Birmingham City after being tracked by Sheffield Wednesday earlier in the window.
