Randy Orton got angry & couldn't help but call Kofi Kingston 'stupid' after failed '10 spot

Randy Orton once got incredibly angry during match with Kofi Kingston after the former WWE Champion botched a spot.

On an episode of WWE Raw in 2010, Randy Orton, Kofi Kingston and John Cena shared the ring for a three-way match.

Kingston was slated for a big push in WWE that year, believed to be winning that year’s Money in the Bank ladder match, but the aforementioned match ended that.

The match ended after Orton hit Kofi with an RKO, but Randy seemed noticeably irate at the end of the bout, repeatedly steaming “stupid!” at Kingston, as can be seen below.

We later found out why, with various reports suggesting that Kingston botched the finish of the match, which upset Orton.

Kofi was supposed to stay down, allowing Orton to hit his signature ‘Punt Kick’, but the former got up too soon, and Orton wasn’t best pleased.

Orton could audibly be heard telling Kofi that he “f*cked up”, and was very clearly quite angry by what happened.

Things really didn’t go to plan for Kofi Kingston in the month’s after, and he didn’t end up winning the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania 26.

Instead, Kofi was barely seen on TV for the next few motnhs, and when he was on TV, WWE more often than not had him losing his matches.

However, things turned around in the end, as nine years later, Kofi Kingston won the WWE title from Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35.

While the issue in the 2010 match may have resulted in some real-life issues between Kofi and Orton, the pair were able to work things out and work together later on throughout the years.

In fact, during the summer of 2019, Kingston and Orton feuded over Kofi’s WWE title, with many fans appreciating the real-life aspect to the feud.
