Randy Orton names one Superstar he wishes never left WWE

Long-serving WWE Superstar Randy Orton wishes that Daniel Bryan was still with Vince McMahon‘s company.

During a recent appearance on Out of Character with Ryan Satin, the current reigning Raw tag-team champion said he misses having the current AEW man around.

When asked about his longevity in the business, the 14-time world champion explained how looking after his body and calling back to previous eras has been vital.

“I think my legacy is longevity.

“I think finding a way to do it in a smart way to where you stay true to the things from the era of my father, the art of professional wrestling, not just thinking that, ‘Okay, if I clothesline this guy’s head off, because I was a big, bad linebacker in the NFL, and that’s what’s gonna get me to my next week and get people to buy my t-shirts, and that’s what’s gonna get me over.’

“No, we got to do this 200 times a year.”

It’s by sticking to those principles that were passed down to him by those that came before him that have allowed The Viper to have a 22-year career to date.

Orton continued to explain why it’s important that the art form of ‘the business’ is preserved and passed on to the next generation of stars

In his answer, he referenced the likes of Bryan Danielson as one of those who have helped keep the essence of WWE alive.

“I want my legacy to be that I made sure that the guys like Edge and Seth Rollins and AJ Styles and God, I miss Daniel Bryan. I wish he was still here.

“These guys that are coming up like Priest, Theory, the Street Prophets, Riddle, have all the potential in the world.

“I want my legacy to be that I was able to, with these gentlemen to take this business to the next generation and make sure that that new wave of talent knows how to do it
