Randy Orton forgetting his promo lines on WWE Raw

With an electric WrestleMania 38 having come to an end, WWE fans will be glad everything went smoothly – unlike the time Randy Orton forgot his lines during a live episode of Monday Night Raw.

Everybody forgets things sometimes, it just so happened Orton forgot his lines in front of a packed out arena in America and in front of millions watching at home – and it’s painfully awkward to watch.

Back in 2013, the long-serving WWE star was with fellow wrestler Sheamus in the ring with the intention of doing a promo segment.

However, there’s a very clear moment where Orton forgets his lines and is scampering around his mind to try and remember it, before turning to Sheamus and asking for the line.

Orton initially says, ‘You’re out here pleading your case, practically begging for support’ before strolling around in silence for a moment.

With the answer not coming to him, the now 42-year-old walks over to his opponent and clearly asks, ‘What’s my line?’ multiple times – in what has become an iconic moment in WWE history.

Sheamus, who looks somewhat disappointed in the situation, murmurs something to Orton who then announces in full confidence: ‘Big Show’s mine tonight.’

Big Show and Orton then faced off at Survivor Series – so clearly the Knoxville-native was meant to be selling the fight, but simply got caught up in the moment.

Though it may not be for the right reasons, this awkward moment will never be forgotten in WWE history.
