Raging Scottish refs set for SFA 'crisis talks' over Rangers row as whistlers rally round Willie Collum

Raging Scottish referees are set to meet with the SFA on Saturday, January 13 in crunch talks to voice their concerns over the handling of the Rangers and Willie Collum row.

The Ibrox club have clashed with the SFA over the decision not to award them a penalty for handball against Alistair Johnston in their December 30 showdown with Celtic. The club held crunch talks where a delegation listened to the audio after Collum didn't call whistler Nick Walsh over to the screen to review a potential handball.

A war of statements has ensued with the SFA firmly rejecting Rangers' version of events at how the meeting went. One week on Collum was thrust out of the Premiership spotlight and was the man in the middle for Queen's Park vs Dunfermline in the Championship. And now the Scottish Sun are reporting that refs in Scotland are set to rally round Collum ahead of a meeting with Hampden beaks next week.

It's claimed whistlers feel let down by the governing body's handling of the situation and the meeting is set to be 'heated.' It's said there is a feeling of solidarity among officials for Collum who has unanimous support among his colleagues and they are set to let the Hampden decision-makers hear it next weekend.
