Queen Elizabeth II: Tyson Fury pays his respects at Buckingham Palace

Tyson Fury and his wife Paris have paid their respects following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

They joined many people in leaving flowers and a card at the gates of Buckingham Palace and it was clearly an emotional time for the pair.

Many sports have been paying their respects over the last week with cricket, football and rugby all doing so.

And the Fury’s made the trip to London earlier in the week to make sure they could be a part of the historic occasion.

The 34-year-old is currently locked in negotiations for a huge heavyweight title bout with fellow brit Anthony Joshua.

The fight will likely take place at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on December 3, with a 60-40 purse split being agreed in Fury’s favour.

The WBC champion hasn’t fought since he convincingly beat Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium back in April. The Gypsy King retired from the sport following that victory, but that was constantly questioned.

A bout between himself and AJ is probably one of the few reasons for him coming out of retirement due to how big that fight will be. Or he has the unification fight against Oleksandr Usyk to think about, potentially in 2023.

However, The Queen’s death has taken Fury’s attention away from the ring for the time being and he was pictured catching the train down to the nation’s capital in the week.

A special message was written on the card that Tyson and Paris had left, and it showed just how much The Queen meant to them.

The message on the card read: “To our Queen.

“Great may your bed be in Heaven.

“Love from Tyson and Paris.”
