Woman arrested after boy, 13, attacked by 'out of control' dogs on Salford field

A woman has been arrested after a 13-year-old boy was attacked by two "out of control" dogs.

The teenager suffered "significant injuries" in the attack on De La Salle Playing Fields in Salford on Monday (July 29). Officers received reports of the incident at the field, off Lancaster Road, at about 8.30pm.

A woman has since been arrested while two dogs have been seized in connection with the incident.

In a post on the GMP Salford Facebook page yesterday, officers said: "Today officers from Salford South East Neighbourhood team have arrested a female in relation to being in possession of two dangerous dogs.

"On Monday 29th July 2024, a 13 year old child was attacked by two out of control dogs on De La Salle playing fields, Salford. The child has sustained significant injuries from the attack.

"The female has been arrested and remains in police custody for questioning while enquiries are ongoing and the dogs have been seized."
