Predicted Rangers XI as Sam Lammers earns starring role after rousing cameo and Roofe judgement call awaits

The mood music has lifted but Michael Beale knows that he can't afford a domestic slip when Rangers host Motherwell.

Derby defeat to Celtic brought the heat on the Ibrox boss but victories in following matches against St Johnstone and particularly Real Betis has cooled fiery murmuring for now. They face a stern test at Ibrox against the Steelmen, who have started this season in fine form under Stuart Kettlewell, and have not lost an away league match since he took charge of the club in February.

Celtic's win at Livingston means the gap between the champions and Rangers currently stands at seven points, and a growing gap at this stage could prove costly. Having played less than 72 hours ago versus La Liga opposition in the Europa League, theere will be team conundrums for Beale to consider, namely Kemar Roofe, who put in a tireless shift and has had injury issues plague his Light Blues career of late.
