Popular Manchester restaurant confirms closure of all its four sites
A popular Manchester pasta restaurant has announced the closure of all of its sites. Sud Pasta, an Italian restaurant concept, confirmed all four of its sites in Greater Manchester would close at the end of December.
The restaurant concept first opened in Altrincham in 2015 under the name Sugo before going on to open sites in Ancoats, Sale and Exhibition food hall on Peter Street in Manchester City Centre. Despite the closure news, the Sud team have said a new pasta kitchen concept is in planning and will open across all four sites next year.
Just last month, the owners said the concept would soon 'cease to exist', which sent customers into a frenzy. After posting about a limited-run of it's original menu on social media, Sud owners confirmed that customers didn't need to worry as they were working "24/7 behind the scenes" on their "most exciting pasta project to date" which is now expected to launch in the New Year.

“We’ll be keeping our current team and reopening our new pasta kitchen in all four of our locations, we look forward to sharing our next chapter.”
The news comes after a number of updates to the pasta concept's offering over the course of this year. In
