Provocative, passionate and powerful: Måneskin takeover Manchester's AO Arena

Måneskin's performance was like nothing I have ever seen before. Provocative, passionate and powerful are just a few ways to describe the Italian band's show.

The four man rock band completed their Rush! world tour at Manchester's AO arena, the only UK date in the whole tour, and came to fill the venue with their unique Italian flare.

The stage was draped in a huge red curtain, building up the suspense as fans from around the country awaited their arrival. When it dropped, there was a roar so loud it vibrated through your whole body.

The 2021 Eurovision winners had thousands of fans clapping and jumping as they performed hits such as GOSSIP, BLA BLA BLA, I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE and their infamous cover of Beggin'. Italian flags and signs reading "Thank you for this tour. We're so proud of you" waved above the heads of their adoring supporters.

The energy they filled the stage with was electric, their musical talent paired with the chemistry between the band members created an unforgettable magnetism within their performance. The husky vocals of singer songwriter Damiano David complemented the bass and electric guitar from Victoria De Angelis and Thomas Raggi to create their distinctive risqué rock sound, of course not forgetting drummer Ethan Torchio.

Måneskin, who formed in Rome, had clearly done their research on the Manchester music scene. After disappearing from the main stage to tease the audience, they reappeared in the middle of the crowd to explain how for every city on the tour, they had carefully selected a special cover to perform.
