Police search for woman, 85, who disappeared with small Jack Russell

Police officers are searching for an 85-year-old woman who went missing earlier today, sparking concerns for her health and personal safety.

Julia, 85, went missing from Pembroke Street in Salford at around 9.30am on Sunday morning. She is thought to be with a small Jack Russell dog, which is brown and white.

The missing older woman has been described by Greater Manchester Police as having white hair and last seen wearing a dark blue coat with a tartan skirt and black tights.

Officers say that Julia walks with a stoop and could require medical attention. Police want to speak to anyone that can help them find the octagenarian so that she can return home safe and sound.

In their appeal, GMP have said: "Anyone with information about Julia's whereabouts should call police on 101, quoting log 1187 of 10/03/24.

"Always call 999 in an emergency."
