Police scene in Salford LIVE amid serious incident - latest updates

The car park of a block of flats in Salford has been cordoned off by police this evening amid reports of a serious incident.

A large police presence, including crime scene investigators, has been pictured at Adelphi Wharf on Adelphi Street.

Pictures from the scene show blood splattered on the floor. The exact nature of the incident has not yet been confirmed.

Greater Manchester Police have been contacted for more information.

A resident of flats overlooking the scene said: "There's a large police presence still here. There were loads of sirens and there must have been 15 response vehicles earlier.

"The helicopter was circling for about an hour as well. It looks like the incident happened in the car park. It's still closed off.

"There's blood splattered on the floor."
