Police cordon off street as emergency crews scrambled to scene - latest updates

A police cordon is in place on a street in Salford this afternoon after a serious incident.

The cordon is on place on a stretch of Higher Croft in Eccles. Officers are stationed at the scene.

A number of ambulances were reportedly on the scene earlier today. The area taped off includes a number of houses and a block of flats.
