Pirates midfielder wary of All Stars FC: 'We need to win all the time'

Orlando Pirates were handed a favourable draw as they are set to face National First Division side All-Stars FC in the round of 32 of the Nedbank Cup. 

Last season, The Buccaneers were stunned when they were eliminated by Marumo Gallants in the round of 16. Despite the two sides being separated by a division, Pirates midfielder Miguel Timm is wary of taking their opponents lightly. 

The 30-year-old believes that no matter who the they were scheduled to face, they would treat every game the same way.

"Good fixture, I was going to say this either way," Timm told reporters.

"It doesn't matter who you are really playing, the approach needs to be the same. When the time comes for the fixture, we will be prepared for it."

Timm believes that despite Bucs being overwhelming favourites for the tie, there is no added pressure as regardless of opponents, the Soweto giants are expected to win every game.

"There's more pressured things in life in general, not just football. We are Orlando Pirates we know we need to win all the time, we try to win.

"It's in our DNA now and it doesn't change. Of course, we want to win and we will prepare well to win that game, pressure or not."

The Buccaneers have already tasted cup success this season as they overcame AmaZulu in the MTN8 Cup.

Timm says winning is an addictive feeling as they look towards a cup double.  

"I wouldn't say confidence, that feeling that we had, the winning feeling is an addictive one, I know for our people too. There's the feeling that we are chasing for sure and that comes with winning the trophy."

Despite All-Stars FC being a First Division side, Timm claims to know enough about his opponents and reiterates that they will prepare accordingly.
