PICTURED: Faces of two men who killed 'loving' son just trying to save his pal

The killers of a young man who stepped out of his home to help a friend in 'danger' have been pictured for the first time. Demari Rose, 20, and Xavaiour Wynter, 21, had chased a friend of Salah Adam after a row which had escalated.

The 21-year-old came out after hearing his pal was in trouble, in an alleyway next to his Old Trafford home, but was stabbed in the neck in the ensuing commotion. Mr Adam was described as a 'loving' son who 'always put others first'.

His death came the day after an incident in Hulme, on May 30 last year, when 'around 15' people were arrested for affray including his brother, Mohammad Adam. On May 31, Mr Adam was with his friends Modasser Homayoon and Shoaib Shah, when they were approached by Rose and Wynter.

The discussion turned to the previous day's events and became 'heated', prosecutors said, before Wynter lunged towards Mr Adam with a knife. Mr Adam returned to his home along with his friends - but when Mr Homayoon stepped outside the house, he was spotted by Rose and Wynter on bikes.

Manchester Crown Court heard Wynter used his mobile phone to film Mr Homayoon while ‘ridiculing’ him and laughing. 'Frightened' Mr Homayoon first tried to flag cars down, before running back towards Mr Adam's home.

Rose and Wynter attacked him with their fists before he was chased up a driveway, next to Mr Adam's house. The pair then drew weapons, prosecutors said, while Mr Adam and Mr Shah went out to help their friend - but in the events that followed, Rose stabbed Mr Adam in the neck.

He claimed the attack was in self-defence - but the judge, Mr Justice Goose, insisted Rose and Wynter, both of no fixed address, had started the fight.
