Philippe Clement responds to Danilo 'limping' claim and explains how he WALKS after deleted Rangers tweet sparks fears

Philippe Clement explained Danilo’s WALKING STYLE after fans feared he was limping despite being on the Rangers bench for the Champions League defat to Dynamo Kyiv at Hampden Park.

Supporters responded to a clip posted on social media by the Ibrox club of the Brazilian, along with his team-mates, coming out of the tunnel as the Rangers players walked out shortly after arriving at their temporary home of the National Stadium. Many felt former Feyenoord man Danilo was limping and were concerned he was still suffering from the knee injury he sustained during a clash with Hearts at Tynecastle last December.

The 25-year-old played for 45 minutes of a pre-season friendly against Birmingham City but hasn’t seen any minutes of competitive action. Rangers have since deleted the tweet of Danilo emerging from the tunnel and the Brazilian did warm up at half time. But Clement was asked about it in his post match press conference.

Question: Danilo was on the bench but in a video released by Rangers he was limping and hasn’t played any minutes so far this season. Can you give us an update on his fitness?

Clement said: “In what video was he limping?”
