Phil Spencer breaks silence after parents killed in tragic accident saying they would have 'held hands' after car fell into river

Phil Spencer has opened up about the death of his parents, who tragically died in a car accident on Friday. The Channel 4 presenter took to Instagram to post a lengthy tribute to his mum and dad, telling his followers that the fact they died together will be a comfort to him in the future.

In a statement on Sunday, Phil said: "Very sadly both of my amazing parents died on Friday. As a family we are all trying to hold onto the fact Mum and Dad went together and that neither will ever have to mourn the loss of the other one. Which is a blessing in itself."
