PHF hires former USA defender Bellamy as scout and player relations liaison

The Premier Hockey Federation has announced the hiring of former Team USA defender Kacey Bellamy as scout and player relations liaison.

Bellamy played for the United States over a 15-year period, winning Olympic gold in 2018 at PyeongChang and took home eight Women's World Championship titles (2008, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2019). 

She retired from her playing career in May 2021, which included stints in the Canadian Women's Hockey League with the Boston Blades (2010-16) and Calgary Inferno (2018-19) as well as two seasons with the PHF's Boston Pride (2015-17).. 

Per the PHF release, Bellamy "will be responsible for harnessing in-depth knowledge of both the PHF and NCAA player pool and tasked with matters related to depth charts, communication plans with prospects, and annual projections. She will assist [PHF commissioner Reagan] Carey and Lisa Haley, PHF Senior Vice President of Hockey Operations, in active communication and relationship building with NCAA and U SPORTS coaches while serving as an additional resource for graduating elite amateur athletes aspiring for careers at the next level."
