Pep Guardiola will address the media this afternoon in his pre-match press conference ahead of the visit of Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday.

It has been a brilliant week on the pitch in terms of results for Guardiola's men. City continued their good form last Sunday with a dominant 6-3 victory over fierce rivals Manchester United.

The momentum was carried into the Champions League clash with FC Copenhagen, in which the Blues scored five to continue their 100 per cent record in this season's European competition. Unfortunately, the injury to Kyle Walker took some gloss off what was a pretty perfect week up until that point.

On Thursday it was announced that the full-back had undergone successful surgery to mend his groin following an injury he picked up in the Manchester derby. It is currently unknown how long he will be out for, but the spell on the sidelines has put his chances of making the World Cup in doubt.

Guardiola is likely to field questions on Walker's injury as well as other City team news ahead of the visit of Southampton later.
