People urged 'not to speculate' as murder investigation launched in south Manchester
People have been urged 'not to speculate' after a murder investigation was launched in south Manchester on Tuesday morning (January 23).
Police said a 30-year-old man was killed after being 'assaulted' following an 'altercation at a traffic light' on Kingsway, in Didsbury, at around 1.40am. An 18-year-old male has since been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
Detectives currently believe the victim and the suspect were travelling in separate vehicles before the victim was assaulted. He later died in hospital as a result of his injuries.
