Mum rammed into ex's Jaguar while he was in driver's seat amid bitter row over who should look after family dog

A mum-of-two rammed her ex-lover's Jaguar with her car while he was sat in the driver's seat during a bitter row over who should look after their family pet dog.

Lisa Jones, 37, twice drove into Andrew Citrine's XE car in a fit of rage as they argued about sharing walking and feeding duties for the animal following their split. A neighbour's CCTV showed Jones’s white Nissan Juke being driven into the driver’s side of the Jaguar pushing it sideways.

Mr Citrine, 38, is then thought to have wound down the window of the Jaguar and was heard thumping the bonnet of the Nissan with his hand three times whilst Jones was heard screaming in anger. Mr Citrine eventually reversed off the driveway of Jones' home nursing a cut to the edge of his nose whilst his car was left with a dent in the door.

When quizzed Jones, of Juniper Grove in Runcorn, Cheshire insisted the Nissan was being driven a ''very low speed'' and she had been trying to prevent Mr Citrine from leaving. He initially gave a statement to police but subsequently retracted it and refused to support a prosecution.

At Warrington Magistrates' Court on Friday, January 19, Jones faced up to 36 weeks jail under sentencing guidelines after she pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and criminal damage. But she was sentenced to a 12-month community order with a requirement that she attend 25 days of rehabilitative activity and was also fined £80 and ordered to pay £234 in costs and a victim surcharge.
