Paulo Dybala transfer update: Arsenal on cusp of free transfer as former defender drops big reveal

Arsenal are reportedly in the driving seat to sign Paulo Dybala with a free-transfer agreement to bring the Argentine in from Juventus seemingly close to completion.

The forward, 28, is now in the closing days of his time with Juventus. His deal is due to expire and talks over an extension have failed to see an agreemeent reached. Indeed, Juve officials made it clear weeks ago that Dybala was free to leave this summer.

Having signed from Palermo in 2015, Dybala has racked up 115 goals in 291 appearances for the Bianconeri. As such, it’s easy to see why a player of such quality finds himself a man in demand.

Indeed, the likes of Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid are both reportedly tracking Dybala. He’s also been linked with a number of Premier League sides, with Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham seemingly keen.

Mikel Arteta’s side are in need of attacking reinforcements with Alexandre Lacazette likely to leave on a free transfer of his own. And while talks to keep Eddie Nketiah are ongoing, he too is expected to leave with Liverpool now among his suitors.

As such, the Gunners will need at least one new attacker to arrive this summer.

Now, former defender Massimo Brambati claims a move to take him to Arsenal has been agreed. He claims the move will go through subject to the Gunners securing Champions League football.

Speaking on TMW Radio, Brambati says Dybala’s move to Emirates Stadium is on the cusp.

“I was told by a person close to the environment that if Arsenal qualifies for the Champions League the Argentine will go there.”
