Paul Scholes: Man Utd icon's 'no-look' pass that still needs explaining

Paul Scholes could do things with a football that mere mortals can only dream of.

There are few players in history who’ve possessed a better passing range than the Manchester United legend.

Countless times during his professional career, Scholes conjured up a piece of magic from the middle of the park that left viewers at home and inside the stadium open-mouthed.

He was the definition of world-class and that’s why he always make an appearance when it comes to debating the greatest midfielder in Premier League history.

Scholes oozed class whenever the ball was at his feet and that was even the case when he played in Vincent Kompany’s testimonial back in 2019.

Despite retiring around six years prior to the friendly match at the Etihad Stadium, the 47-year-old proved he’s still got it.

Scholes produced the game’s standout moment. In the second half of proceedings, he decided to pull off the perfect ‘no look’ pass.

The midfield maestro was left unmarked by the halfway line and he caressed the ball into Robin van Persie’s path with the outside of his right boot.

We still don’t quite know how Scholes saw the pass…

Paul Scholes did this during Vincent Kompany's testimonial match at the Etihad.Wow.
