Paul Joyce reveals huge Liverpool transfer update that'll leave supporters gutted - opinion

Liverpool have already had a busy summer transfer window so far, with two signings already confirmed alongside the seemingly imminent departure of Sadio Mane, and a reliable source has now offered a further update on the club’s latest transfer developments.

The Times’ northern football correspondent and renowned Liverpool source Paul Joyce has given an update on the progression of the Senegal star’s proposed move to Bayern Munich and Takumi Minamino’s future at the club.

In an article for The Times, the reporter confirmed that the Reds have now agreed to sell Mane to the Bundesliga champions this summer for a fee of £27.5m, which could rise to £35.1m.

The journalist further claimed that Minamino is also expected to depart this summer.

There is no doubt that Liverpool supporters will be absolutely gutted to lose Mane this summer after six glorious years at the club since he joined in 2016.

The 30-year-old has scored 120 goals and contributed 48 assists for the Reds, helping them to their first Premier League and Club World Cup titles, their sixth European Cup and, this season, the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.
