Mane to Bayern: How Liverpool could line up using Darwin Nunez next season

It’s already shaping up to be a busy summer transfer window for Liverpool.

Typically, Jurgen Klopp and his recruitment team have looked to get their business out the way early doors.

It’s a tactic we’ve seen used to good effect by them in recent years, as it helps to minimise any unnecessary distractions as we get closer to the season.

The Reds have wrapped up three deals this window to date.

Fabio Carvalho, who Liverpool agreed a deal for way back at the start of April, was unveiled as the club’s first signing.

That was followed by Darwin Nunez of Benfica. The Uruguayan hitman set the club back an initial £64.5 million, although that figure could rise to as much as £85 million based on performance related add-ons.

Whilst most recently, Scottish right-back Calvin Ramsay put pen to paper on a long-term contract at Anfield for a reported £6.5 million.

It’s been confirmed that Divock Origi will leave the club this summer, with the most likely destination looking like AC Milan.

Sadio Mane also looks to be on the verge of officially signing with Bavarian giants, Bayern Munich.

The departure of the Senegalese star is sure to leave an enormous gap in the squad that might see Liverpool change the way they play in the new year – but we’ll get to that shortly.

Aside from Mane, it’s highly likely that Klopp will allow several other players that could be deemed surplus to requirements to leave in order to recuperate some of the outgoings spent so far.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Neco Williams, Nat Phillips, and Rhys Williams all look like near certainties to move on. Whilst a host of less senior players might also find themselves on the way out.
